We are about to start up the very successful Consumer Voices program again following a small abeyance whilst awaiting funding outcomes. This next program will concentrate on the regions of the Far South Coast, Southern Tablelands and the Shoalhaven with other areas depending on demand and program capacity. We will be once again working closely with Gambling Help services in those areas to set up 1-hour awareness raising and educational sessions for community, welfare and health services in those localities. Further details still to come, but any service from those areas who would like to receive a session please let us know. Anyone who has personally struggled with a gambling problem and is now in recovery (or who has been impacted as a family member) who would like to train as a Consumer Voice spokesperson and lives in those areas please get in touch for more information. Training for new speakers is likely to occur mid-year but recruitment will be starting soon. |
